The Wedding Venue

If one thing's certain it's that you will need somewhere to hold your reception assuming of course that you're having one. Many will opt for a large venue such as a country club, a stately home or grand hotel. There are many such venues each offering different aspects on size, service, location and decor.

There are also many smaller venues such as restaurants that can cater for weddings. Quite often these will offer menu's that can be tailored to your requirements rather than their standard menu so it's a good idea to ask what they can provide.

For those who have access to large gardens or grounds there is the choice of hiring a marquee. There are benefits with a marquee to consider such as the freedom to choose your own caterers which could mean obtaining better prices for the food, wine and beverages. If the marquee is erected in your own grounds then it may cost less than hiring a hotel or restaurant.

Whichever type of venue you choose, remember to make that choice after you've made your guest list as you will need to know how many people you want to accomodate.
